He has played a pivotal role in developing GMP LITS, a comprehensive traceability platform supporting producers, veterinary services, abattoirs, and auction houses. With a background spanning private practice and interaction with state veterinary services, the pharmaceutical industry, feedlot disease and abattoir hygiene, Dr. Cloete brings a systems-based approach to animal health, business intelligence, and disease surveillance. His work enhances value chains and compliance for livestock producers, aligning closely with ASAL Extension’s mission to strengthen resilience and productivity in arid and semi-arid regions.

    Dr. Chris Silali

    Dr. Silali is the Founder and CEO of Geneplus Global Limited, bringing over 15 years of experience in the dairy value chain, business development, and management in Kenya. He holds a Bachelor of Veterinary Medicine from the University of Nairobi and has pursued further studies in breeding nutrition and dairy management at the University of Wisconsin, USA. His expertise in livestock production and value chain development supports ASAL Extension’s initiatives in enhancing livestock productivity in arid and semi-arid regions.

    Dr. Stella Kiambi

    Dr. Kiambi is a Veterinarian with a Ph.D. in Veterinary Public Health and an M.Sc. in Applied Epidemiology. She leads national initiatives to prevent, detect, and respond to animal diseases using a “One Health” approach that integrates human, animal, and environmental health. Her expertise spans zoonoses, Antimicrobial Resistance (AMR), food safety, and climate-resilient food systems. Known for her leadership, Dr. Kiambi designs and manages impactful, evidence-based programs that bridge research and development. She is recognized as a thought leader in veterinary public health, championing sustainable, science-driven solutions for global health security and resilient health systems.
