To empower dryland communities by harnessing knowledge that enhances food security, strengthens climate-resilient livelihoods, and drives inclusive economic growth, while ensuring the sustainable use and restoration of rangeland ecosystems.

We apply a participatory and evidence-informed approach that blends indigenous knowledge with scientific research to shape practical, locally grounded solutions. By systematically documenting community-driven practices and lessons learned, we generate insights that ensure that local voices influence national and regional agendas for sustainable dryland development.
Capacity
While our core focus lies in arid and semi-arid ecosystems, our expertise and training extend across all agro-ecological zones. Our team brings a wealth of practical experience and a deep understanding of diverse landscapes, enabling us to deliver context-specific solutions nationwide and beyond.
We have successfully implemented assignments across the region, including: Northern Kenya, Karamoja region- Uganda, Dodoma region- Tanzania, Maroodijeex region – Somaliland, Chiredzi district, Zimbabwe.
